Optimal Experience is a strategic user experience (UX), user interface design & usability consultancy.

Optimal Experience was launched in Australia in early 2008 and is majority-owned by Optimal Usability, New Zealand’s leading usability consulting firm.

We bring together the experience and expertise of our Australian team with the outstanding capability of the Optimal Group of companies. We offer our clients full service, delivered through established skills and resources.

Currently, Optimal Experience has offices in Sydney and Canberra and is working with clients in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Our team

We’re a fresh new company, but our capability is deeply rooted in many years of successful consulting engagements.

Our Australian team members, headed by Managing Director Susan Wolfe, have well-established reputations for bringing the benefits of user-centred design to leading government and corporate clients.

They have a proven track record of developing and implementing practical strategies that work in the real world, not just in theory.

As consultants & designers, their experience covers all types of applications, technologies, and channels, involving customer-facing systems, internal applications, and B2B transactions.

The environments they are familiar with include mainframes, graphical interfaces, browser-based systems, mobile and handheld devices, speech systems, kiosks, paper-based systems, and the physical design of devices and spaces.

As educators & trainers, they’ve worked with universities, professional organisations and public- and private-sector clients to deliver a vast range of courses, workshops and presentations.
