About Optimal Experience

Optimal Experience is a strategic user experience (UX), user interface design & usability consultancy.

Optimal Experience was launched in Australia in early 2008 and is partly owned by Optimal Usability, New Zealand’s leading usability consulting firm.

We bring together the experience and expertise of our Australian team with the outstanding capability of the Optimal Group of companies. We offer our clients full service, delivered through established skills and resources.

Currently, we have offices in Sydney and Canberra and are working with clients in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

We are proud to be the Australian member of the UX Alliance — the international alliance of leaders in user experience. This means we can offer you global user research capabilities.

Our team

We’re a fresh new company, but our capability is deeply rooted in many years of successful consulting engagements.

Our team members, headed by Managing Director Susan Wolfe, have well-established reputations for bringing the benefits of user-centred design to leading government and corporate clients.

We have a proven track record of developing and implementing practical strategies that work in the real world, not just in theory.

As consultants and designers, our experience covers all types of applications, technologies, and channels, involving customer-facing systems, internal applications, and B2B transactions.

The environments we are familiar with include graphical interfaces, browser-based systems, mobile and handheld devices, speech systems, kiosks, paper-based systems, mainframes and the physical design of devices and spaces.

As educators and trainers, we’ve worked with universities, professional organisations and public- and private-sector clients to deliver a vast range of courses, workshops and presentations.
